I have brought my car to have a service (100.000 km) to an official Porsche repair centre where they have found that one of the servo motors was definitively stuck and that the A/C climate control unit was broken. You know, as a spare it is quite expensive, about 1,300 euro plus VAT, so I have decided to try to repair it. I have sent my broken climate control unit to a well-known (here in Italy) electronics expert, that you can reach easily via www.accinni.com

Well, after one month the climate control unit was back as new, and for only 200
euro! They also have found the cause of the failure: one of four chips inside
the climate control unit was burned because of the stuck motor. In other words,
they have found out the reason of the failure in a overheating of this chip
(made by Siemens), so they have added a cooler to each chip to prevent other
failures. I took a digital shot of the repair, that I'll send to you from home.

This spare chip has been found in California after a long research: now they have about nine pieces of that component, so it will be easier to repair other broken climate control Units. Mr. Accinni asserts to be able to repair any king of failures of these units (and even to rebuild them). Please contact them.
