I only list those links that I frequently visit and would recommend you
do too! If you have days to spare then the most comprehensive set of
Porsche Links I have found in one place is at
Carlynx.
If you would like to link to this site,
please let me know and use the banner at the bottom of this page. Thanks.
964 Related
There are now a couple of sites running 964 specific mailing lists or bulletin
boards:
The
Rennlist has 40,000 mainly
US members discussing everything about Porsche via their email and web-based
lists. They also host many information sites, FAQ pages etc. I would
recommend their new Forums.
You will find a
964
Forum and a 911 Forum there. These are web-based
boards only. No email distribution of postings.
Dave Wilkinson has set up a new
Porsche 964 Group on Yahoo Groups as a replacement for the 964
Smartgroup which has been suffering from too many server and email
failures recently. This is a web-based and/or email group.

Along with my site, there a couple of other sites with plenty of 964
content.
Complete
964 is an excellent site dedicated to the 964 by Singapore 964 owner Harold
Gan. A detailed history section is well worth the visit. Under continual
enhancement.
Stig's
Porsche Resources is a 964 dedicated site with Technical information, a
buyer's guide and more. Look out for Steve around the tracks in teh UK!
If
you are considering buying your first Porsche or upgrading to a 964 then check
out Four for The
Road and join
Marv De Beque on test drives of an '89 944 Turbo S, an '87
944S, a '94 968 Cab, an '83 911 SC Targa and an '87 Carrera before plumping for a
964 C4. Keep
reading for lots more technical and juicy titbits on his chosen Porsche.
Jan-Willem
Hubbers' 964 Site is progressing nicely with details of his 964, a good
collection of 964 reviews and more. Jan-Willem is a Nürburgring nut and
you will find loads of info on his track experiences on his site His
running reports are also on my Running Reports
page.

RSAmerica.net has loads of
great info on the 964 RS America.

Porsche Information Sites
PCGB
has a pretty limited website at the moment (they won't allow external links!)
and an over-moderated set of PC forums. It does have a pretty good monthly
magazine and runs well-organised Porsche only track days and other events.
I used to be a fan of the club, but politics and officiousness has dampened my
enthusiasm.

Also in the UK is The Independent Porsche
Enthusiasts Club. Started out as as the 924 -
944 Club but now caters for enthusiasts of all models. Strong on regional
events.
The
official Porsche site is always worth a regular visit.
Flat
6 offers a complete guide to the Porsche marque. Site contents include
photos and information covering all Porsche models, news concerning Porsche and
various media such as sounds and wallpaper. Good Reference Site.
Variety of
Porsche information
and other general stuff at this leading 993/6 site.
Elfertreff
is one of the most useful 911 German language sites with a comprehensive set
of 911 test reports from Auto-Motor-Sport
Laseric's
French language site Passion Porsche is a
high-quality comprehensive Porsche site with current news as well as history.
Christophorus Magazine has some articles
on line as does 911
& Porsche World

Porsche Technical and Parts
Firstly check out all the links on my Technical
page for loads of links to DIY projects etc.
Pelican
Parts has lots of technical articles on the 964.
Detailed Parts Charts can be found at
Road
& Race Inc. Access is free.
For
around $20 a year ALLDATA provides you
with web access to parts charts, specifications, technical service bulletins,
repair info and more for your subscribed model. Well worth it if you are
planning any DIY.
FVD is a German
parts and accessories company. Lots of goodies for your 964.
Available internationally.
Simon
Butterworth seems very responsive when you are looking for used parts in the
UK. He will ship worldwide as well.
Bert
Gear at Berlyn Services
in the UK is also very knowledgeable and helpful regarding 964 parts.
Ray
Northway is my local works-trained independent specialist. Recommended
if
you live near Reading, Berkshire, UK.

If you are looking to buy another Porsche there are some very affordable ones at
Sportscraft
Cars. In 1/18 and 1/43rd scale of course. Take a look at
my 964 models here.
One product that I would wholeheartedly endorse is Zymöl.
This was has amazing staying power. I first came across it when I had my
964 professionally Zymöled in Sep '99. This application lasted over a year
before it needed replenishing. And easy to apply too.
Car
Care Specialities has loads of articles on how to cherish your 964.
Rennsport
Systems has not interesting articles on
How to Make Your
Porsche Go Faster. Check 'em.
In
the UK, Gmund books are a great source
for up-to-date and out-of-print books on Porsche as well as Workshop manuals and
Owner's Handbooks.

Driving Related
I plan to visit Le Mans every two or three years.
Going this June and camping at Houx Reserved. Mail
me if you are going to be there. Club
Arnage is THE site for all info.
The
Association of British Drivers' aim is to provide an active, responsible
voice to lobby for Britain's beleaguered car drivers. Current campaigns
are to call for an end to the abuse of speed cameras for revenue raising. and
for the use of realistic speed limits that are based upon road safety not
political correctness. If you live in Britain. Join up!
For
the nerds among you please study this article on the Physics
of Racing from Autopedia and make that next track day much more fun.
The Speed Trap
Bible has loads of UK relevant speed trap info including many
radar detector tests.

Need 4 Speed is a mad
site that solely publishes photos of speedos.....showing crazy numbers of
course!

964 Owner Jan-Willem
Hubbers' Ring pages will really get you tempted to make that visit and
really test your 964.
Music
Music
is my first love, even over 964s. Amazingly both my sons look like
making their careers in the business. Peter is a professional hired-gun
guitarist and recording engineer.
Currently he is playing for Martin Grech (Lexus ad fame) and
The LeftBehinds. My younger son George was a drummer with Peter in
identity#1, a defunct Ska/Punk band and is also in
The LeftBehinds where is now their
vocalist. George is still drumming in his Hardcore Punk band
Friends of Ed. Check out the music
by visiting the sites. Play them all LOUD!
You are most welcome to link to my site. If you do so, please let me
know and use this banner. Thanks.
