Basildon Park, Reading, 38

Good weather greeted us at the National Trust property, Basildon Park, Nr. Reading, Berkshire, England.  The Porsche Club of Great Britain's Thames Valley Region had invited the PCGB 964 Register to participate in their annual concours.  Around 15 964s turned up.  10 competed in our own informal concours organised by Ken Chambers, the PCGB 964 Register Secretary.

Instead of formal judging we all marked each others cars in such categories as:

bulletBest car under 65,000 miles
bulletCar with most publicity
bulletMost modified car
bulletCar with best history
bulletetc.

Plates were awarded as follows:

bulletBest car under 65,000 miles - Kate Bottomely
bulletBest unmodified original car - John Miles
bulletBest modified car - Melvin Spear
bulletBest car over 65,000 miles - Ken Chambers
