Great weather for a change.  Hot track, hot tyres made for interesting grip.  I went with 35psi all round hot.  Equates to around 30psi cold.  16 inch Pirelli PZeros.  Excellent performance, perfect drift.  Took extra care on cool down lap having had new discs all round last month.  No issues.

It was a 105dB noise limit day.  I registered 95db.  The GT3 present passed the static 4,500rpm test but got pulled up on the track as being too loud and was only allowed out if he kept under 4.500rpm.  Sad.

Fastest car on the track was a GT2.

Melvin was cranking.  Kept talking about how he had outgrown his C4 and that now was the time to move to a 964RS.  So, if you want to buy dull grey 964 with plenty of track uummph, call him.

Tom's first track day.  Suspect he's hooked.

PCGBGood2001_0529AC.jpg (42400 bytes) A 964 RS that did a surprisingly good job in keeping up with a GT2.  GT2 driver said he was redlining in 5th on the back straight.  He was the fasted on the track today.

Yellow Boxster the slowest car on the track today.

Note that Richard Long's yellow GT3 has a custom carbon fibre spoiler.  He never caught me.  Shame he was limited.

PCGBGood2001_0529AT.jpg (42209 bytes) Finally photo of Melvin accelerating though 100mph on the pits straight.  He takes the first corner in 4th.  I reckon better in 3rd.  Too much loss of revs in 4th.
